Andorra: Europe's Best-Kept Tax Secret for Digital Entrepreneurs

Published on May 4, 2026 by Benjamin Ortais

While everyone talks about Dubai, Portugal, and Malta, Andorra quietly offers one of the most attractive tax environments in Europe. Corporate tax at 10%. Personal income tax capped at 10%. A Digital Nomad visa requiring only 90 days of annual presence. A EUR 50,000 deposit instead of millions in net worth. And it is nestled in the Pyrenees between France and Spain, 3 hours from Barcelona.

The Tax Framework

Tax TypeRateDetails

CASS Social Security

This is the "hidden cost" of Andorra that relocation consultants often minimize. The CASS (Caixa Andorrana de Seguretat Social) contributions are mandatory:

  • Self-employed (autonomous): 22% of the social security base (minimum base: ~EUR 1,050/month)
  • Company director: Company pays 15.5%, employee pays 6.5% = 22% total
  • Minimum monthly CASS: approximately EUR 500/month = EUR 6,000/year

CASS provides healthcare and pension. It is not optional. Factor it into your total cost calculation.
